Best. Day. Ever.

Yesterday was the best day I’ve had in my time here, possibly in years, possibly in my whole life.

The morning was great.  I blogged.  I chilled at the house.  No Free School.  I had some leftover pot pie for lunch.  I went shopping on the way to the Center.  The place I went was closed, but it was ok, I just went on to the Center.

Shortly after arriving at the Center, the vomiting began.  Apparently said pot pie was bad.  It was a long, painful afternoon, and I don’t remember much of it besides getting far too comfortable sitting in front of the toilet.

One of our friends came in and presented the Good News via puppets in both the morning and afternoon sessions.  The girls enjoyed it, but we could tell the little girls just didn’t get it.

We went to our supervisor’s house for d*scipleship, and I noticed there were a few girls there that hadn’t come before.  Being worn out from the short rickshaw ride there (we normally walk,) I went to the kids’ room and lay on the bed for an hour.

I came out to see a few girls talking in a small group to our puppet friend from earlier and found out shortly after that four of our girls have become four of our sisters.  They know it will be hard, and that life will not get any easier from it, but they are willing to pay the price.  These girls are legit.  There will be dunkings soon.

So, long story short, best day ever.  For those of you who don’t understand why a college kid would give up 6 months of her life and a ton of scholarship money to live in South Asia, this is why.  This is what we live for.
